Bishops in the US urge congress to ensure that taxpayers monies are used for “life-affirming health care and not for abortion,” pointing out that recent legislation passed to provide relief for Americans during the pandemic contains general references to healthcare which, without the exclusion of abortion, could be ambiguously interpreted.
